Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal

The abbreviated term "APAI, WB" stands for Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal. It is a registered body, established in 2005. APAI is the sole representatives of all the self financed Engineering & Technological institutions in West Bengal.

APAI's main activities are regular interactions with the three different authorities viz. AICTE(All India Council of Technical Education), WBUT(West Bengal University of Technology) and Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.Starting from affiliation of a College, introduction of new courses(s), fee structure per student, free & half-free studentship etc. and all other related matters are negotiated with these authorities from time to time.

Vision & Mission

To produce every year a large number of Engineers, Mechanical experts, Management executives in different disciplines suited for different industries primarily in the state of West Bengal towards making self-sufficient and thereby place our State among the foremost positions in the country with regard to technological progress.

To work in close liaison with the Higher Education Department of Government of West Bengal, West Bengal University of technology and Central Selection Committee on the one hand & FAMPEI, our representatives body at the all india level, on the other, in implementing the directives of the AICTE with a view to achievin the vision of the Association as also providing the desired releif to different colleges in the deserving cases.
