"APAI, WB" stands for Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal, a registered body, established in 2005. We are the sole representatives of all the self-financed Engineering & Technological institutions in West Bengal. APAI interacts with the three different authorities viz. AICTE(All India Council of Technical Education), MAKAUT(Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology) and Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.
To produce every year a large number of Engineers, Mechanical experts, Management executives in different disciplines suited for different industries primarily in the state of West Bengal towards making self-sufficient and thereby place our State among the foremost positions in the country with regard to technological progress. To work in close liaison with the Higher Education Department of Government of West Bengal, West Bengal University of Technology and Central Selection Committee on the one hand & FAMPEI, our representatives body at the all India level, on the other, in implementing the directives of the AICTE with a view to achieving the vision of the Association as also providing the desired relief to different colleges in the deserving cases.
Sardar Taranjit Singh, President of Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal is a person with substance, who dreams to empower lives through knowledge and education.
Taranjit Singh is widely acknowledged across the region as an educationist and corporate leader. He has created new standards in quality for self-financed engineering colleges of West Bengal.
His efforts have been recognised over the years by various groups within and outside the country.
Sri Satyam Roychowdhury is one of the legend young Entrepreneurs of India and is a great Thinker-Philosopher and Author.
He is the Secretary of Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal.
Under his leadership APAI, WB has crossed many hurdles and he has brought many modern changes to this organization which are giving benefits to all the private engineering colleges of West Bengal.
