About APAI-WB
A unified voice for private technical education in West Bengal, APAI-WB brings together institutions, policymakers, and students through advocacy, guidance, and academic collaboration.
"APAI, WB" — the Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal — is a registered body established in 2005. We are the sole representatives of all self-financed Engineering & Technological Institutions in West Bengal, affiliated with AICTE, MAKAUT (formerly WBUT), and the Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.
Our mission is to produce every year a large number of Engineers, Management Experts, Pharmacy Professionals and other disciplines suited for industries primarily in West Bengal — making it self-sufficient and technologically progressive.

The association is expanding its outreach across multiple districts to improve access to technical education information.

Durgapur, June 20, 2025 — ITC Fortune Park Pushpanjali, 11 AM - 6 PM. Self-financed colleges under MAKAUT guided students on Diploma, UG and PG programs.

Our Leadership
Sardar Taranjit Singh is a person with substance who dreams to empower lives through knowledge and education. Widely acknowledged across the region as an educationist and corporate leader, he has created new standards in quality for self-financed engineering colleges of West Bengal. His efforts have been recognised by various groups within and outside India.
Sri Satyam Roychowdhury is one of the legend young Entrepreneurs of India and is a great Thinker, Philosopher and Author. As General Secretary of APAI-WB, his leadership has crossed many hurdles and brought many modern changes, giving substantial benefits to all private engineering colleges of West Bengal.
